In depth
Verdict
Plenty in with a chance but a tentative vote goes the way of SIR MAXIMILIAN. He stormed to a six length success in a maiden at Doncaster last time and is preferred to Saloomy, another making his handicap debut after scoring at Salisbury recently. Intransigent has been thereabouts in tougher handicaps than this of late and should be in the mix while Gung Ho Jack finished ahead of previous C&D winner Impel at Windsor recently and could figure in this. Elbe is dropped in class for only her second start of the year and better is expected from her.
