Verdict

Dhehdaah is made a sporting selection ahead of Dark Parade, Carlton Scroop and Sand Repeal. Pam Sly's charge does have the burden of top-weight but he loves it around here and the sometime hurdler has the services of regular rider, Micky Fenton, to assist in securing a vital late run. Dark Parade is often well punted and is sure to pick up one of these races soon. His rating here reflects his ability on this surface versus that of the turf. Carlton Scroop was the subject of a gamble at Wolverhampton earlier in the year. A far from easy ride, he is watched in the market given the jockey booking. Sand Repeal has done much of his running at Southwell in the past so has to be tried here as the Nottinghamshire venue is out of commission. Daring Racer can be expected to make a bold fist of it from the gates while hurdler-cum-flat performer, Critical Stage stays forever. Dream Mountain, who has had two runs since an absence, looks best of the rest. Dhehdaah looks the class horse and is accordingly selected.
