Brodie Hampson won this last year for Archie Watson and they team up again with Hassaad, who bounced back from a poor run here with a fine effort at Newcastle. Serena Brotherton gets the ride on Hart Stopper, six times a winner on Turf and beaten a neck in similar class over the track and trip in November. But PRINCE OF ROME (NAP) looks certain to be in the shake-up having been narrowly beaten three times in recent weeks in better company. His two victories have been at Chelmsford so the track won't pose a problem and his rider's claim is a plus. Simon Walker is on board Irene May, another Chelmsford winner who has been looking a bit high in the weights. Fuente wasn't beaten far in a Group 3 on this track in 2018 but hasn't come close to that form subsequently.
