In depth

Verdict

Finley Connolly is likely to improve on his debut effort at Newmarket and could be thereabouts, but MAIN FOCUS gets the nod. He finished sixth at Newbury on his latest start and that form looks a lot better in hindsight with three subsequent winners coming out of the race. John Gosden's charge can open his account here. Of the newcomers, Nifty Shiftin is related to a winner at this track and should be noted along with Pearl Mix, who cost 120,000euros. Flying Trader and Freddy Q are others to consider if the market speaks in their favour.
