In depth

Verdict

Lucky's Dream won a bumper at Lingfield just over three weeks ago. A six times winner on the all-weather on the Flat, Ian Williams’ six-year-old has placed here and Charlie Todd’s claim takes care of most of his mount’s penalty. Hooper won a Stratford bumper last year and has finished second in three starts over hurdles since. Castel Gandolfo had fair form on the Flat and has placed twice over timber while a case can also be made for Confirmation Bias but the vote goes to KENTUCKY HARDBOOT, just touched off in a similar contest at Lingfield last week and a winner previously on the Flat.
