Verdict

Banish has already won twice here and three times in total on Polytrack. He’s gone up 3lb for his latest success but that is by no means harsh and another big run is anticipated. Golden Birthday, a more than useful hurdler, made a winning start on the Flat at Leicester and could be well treated, though the second that day has been well beaten again since. St Malo should do better back on the all-weather after a poor run at Newmarket but Faithful Creek is probably a couple of pounds too high at present. MOBBHIJ possibly didn’t stay 2m last time at Newcastle and, lightly raced, is worth another chance to confirm the promise of an earlier clear-cut victory at Chelmsford with the talented David Egan taking off a handy 3lb.
