        Verdict

        Dubaian Gift has been in excellent form on the all-weather and shaped nicely on his belated return to the turf when a close third at Newmarket late last month (now 2lb higher). However, Ian Balding's charge has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this soft and may be worth opposing. Birdwatching is still a maiden but this pacey type showed last time that the drop back to the minimum trip should suit while White Ledger is lightly raced on turf and may be open to a little improvement after making all at Wolverhampton last time.
