In depth

Verdict

Quicksand was no match for subsequent Listed winner and St Leger fancy Lah Ti Dar when third at Newbury on her debut. But that was back in April and WOHILEH may prove too good in this. The latter was beaten only a neck over 1m2f at Windsor last month with a subsequent winner finishing third and this longer trip should suit. Loved So Much and Salve Helena are others likely to appreciate today’s extra test of stamina but Birch Grove steps up from a mile on her belated reappearance.
