        Verdict

        Astaroth bids for a hat-trick under a penalty having won over track and trip last time. Groom and Incumbent came up just short when placed in nurseries recently with the latter preferred while several make their handicap debuts. Carbon won a novices race over 7f at Leicester while Unilateralism has placed over the same trip on Turf the last twice but MOON ISLAND finished runner-up over course and distance last time. She never threatened the winner, rated 94, but finished ahead of a subsequent winner and may prove good enough.
