      Verdict

As expected ALMIGHWAR, the second foal of Oaks and King George heroine Taghrooda, appreciated the step up to today’s trip when scoring here by a wide-margin on his reappearance. The Gosden colt can defy a penalty given today’s opposition looks distinctly moderate with the exception of Golden Pine. The latter finished second of only four runners over 1m2f at Leicester on his debut but still looks a cut above the rest on that form. Nevendon, Just The Ticket and Medika may all improve for this extra test of stamina but Ministerial was well beaten over 1m4f on his debut and the newcomer Captain Haddock is fitted with headgear.
