In depth

Formwatch

Climbing Rose (USA) gets a tentative vote in a race with many question marks. Daughter of a Derby winner, she met some good horses in both runs last year and showed enough promise to suggest she will be winning a race or two this year. On the negative side, a step up in trip would probably suit her more and the stable has only had one runner, unplaced, this year so her fitness has to be taken on trust. Treasured Guest is a superbly bred colt who makes his racecourse debut and it would be worth noting any market support for Luca Cumani's charge. Of the remainder, Ben Hanbury seems to have his horses quite well forward and it would be no surprise to see Khitaam put up a bold showing, while Zarin finished ahead of Appian Way at Doncaster and should do so again here.
