Minstrel Royal put a couple of very moderate performances behind him when a close third at Fontwell last month but makes his handicap debut with a big weight. Linguine appears to have gone backwards since his early runs over timber but VIVAS has shown enough in three starts over hurdles to suggest he's ready to gain his first victory, especially with the ground in his favour. Threebarmymen produced easily his best run to date over the minimum here last month and if taking to the longer trip would have to be considered. Walkami showed a bit more promise last time and is fitted with blinkers for the first time.
