Verdict

Sutter County has the form in the book and also the highest rating. But he is more exposed than his rivals and has never won beyond 5f so it would be no surprise if something improved past him. Tomily was second on his only previous run on the all-weather and only beaten half-a-length in a Listed race at Doncaster over this trip in October. According to official ratings, he’s the danger but recent winners Munro, Visionary and Letmestopyouthere all appear to be progressing so shouldn’t be ignored. SECOND THOUGHT was odds-on for a Class 5 maiden at Wolverhampton last month and never gave supporters a moment’s worry. This is a big step up but he’s bred to be speedy, by Kodiac out of a Diktat mare, and can win again.
