Verdict

BUDDY HOLLY is taken to get the better of Justcallmehandsome and Falcon Rock in a wide open contest. Justcallmehandsome is yet to win this year, but has now returned to his last winning mark. A close second at Wolverhampton recently when he was well supported suggests that his winning turn may not be far away. Falcon Rock has shown promise in both his starts this season, staying on well to be runner-up last time. The extra two furlongs should suit, though this sharp track may not. Buddy Holly has not scored since a Sandown success a year ago, but his handicap mark has been slow to come down as a consequence of a series of consistent efforts. His third behind a decent type at Windsor last time reads well in the context of this race and Buddy Holly can take the opener.
