In depth

Verdict

WHAT KATIE DID and Hollow Jo come into this in fine form and the former just gets the nod. Milton Bradley's gelding What Katie Did remains well handicapped on some of his old form and ran on well to win over course and distance last time. These look to be his optimum conditions and he can defy a penalty to score under Jamie Spencer for the third time from as many mounts on him. Hollow Jo also scored over course and distance last time and has being raised 5lb for that success. He too is capable of following up, although he doesn't have as much good form as the selection from their respective current marks and so we will take him on. Littledodayno likes it around here but is not as consistent as either of the other pair and after a good run last time we are not sure what today will bring. Compton Classic continues to suffer for his consistency in that the handicapper is reluctant to drop him more than the odd pound before he goes up again. That will probably find him out again. Fizzlephut and Hart Of Gold are others in need of favours from the assessor and What Katie Did remains the pick.
