In depth

Verdict

KEY REGARD had plenty in hand last time and can follow up on his handicap debut, while Supernoverre looks a danger. The Jamie Osborne-trained selection improved for both his debut run and the step up to this trip when winning his maiden at Lingfield in spite of showing plenty of signs of greenness. Chris Catlin again partners the Key Of Luck colt, who should now be ready to do battle with these handicappers and can come out on top. Supernoverre is likely to provide worthwhile opposition, although he has yet to prove his stamina over this far. Twice a winner over 10f, he handles this track well and if ridden with restraint there are definite possibilities. Dollar Express is worth a try over this trip but he hung last time out at Wolverhampton and looks one to watch for the moment, while Royal Society is bred to be more effective over shorter. Key Regard gets our vote.
