Verdict

Cloudy Bob was beaten less than two lengths when third in this last year and races off the same mark. Pat Murphy’s grey won for the second time over course and distance earlier this month and looks sure to be in the firing-line again. Tinker Time was only beaten half-a-length over 3m4f at Taunton but the winner ran poorly at Haydock on Saturday and Vikekhal is hard to catch right. Caulfields Venture has been waiting for better ground and is preferred to stable companion Set List, who has also had a break, but SEGO SUCCESS (NAP) should have the class to defy top weight. Alan King’s nine-year-old has not raced at this level since his novice days and he won a much better race at Doncaster last season when 3lb higher.
