Verdict
Sir Michael Stoute loves a crack at this and with his stable already firing, Buldan, a 375,000gns son of New Approach, is greatly respected as is Dawaaleeb, from a yard going well. However, the owner of that pair also has the Frankel colt ELYAASAAT engaged and Jim Crowley would have had the pick so William Haggas' charge gets the nod. John Gosden has two entries, the 130,000gns Damocles and the $400,000 Mark Of Approval, a half-brother to two winners, who he trains for Godolphin. The owners are also represented by Night Circus, a half-brother to the useful Momayyaz. The filly Jalela, a daughter of Canford Cliffs, is another to consider in a race that should provide plenty of pointers for the future.
