In depth
Verdict
A typically competitive Kempton sprint handicap, with Valatrix the selection, ahead of Honey Monster and Lieutenant Pigeon. Valatrix, making her handicap debut, is expected to try and set the pace, as she did in winning over this distance at Yarmouth last month. She looks well treated, albeit in better company. She could get taken on up front by Lieutenant Pigeon who made all to win a lower class handicap here over this distance last time out, so she has to be respected too. Honey Monster has made the frame in her last 3 outings, including twice here recently, and certainly seems happy on the surface. It may be significant it's Alan McCabe's only runner of the evening. But for the most likely winner, we go with Valatrix
