In depth

Verdict

Victorian Number was all out to score by a short-head over 7f here last time. Upped 4lb today, he may find STRATEGIC ACTION too good over today's trip. The latter was headed on the line on the Turf at Lingfield last time but is a course and distance winner and Linda Jewell's charge gets the vote. Karate is capable of going close if in the mood and Blue Deer is back on a winning mark and beat Wyndham Wave over 7f here last October. Rapid Water is unreliable but is a dual winner over track and trip and can figure on a going day.
