Verdict

CAPE KIMBERLEY is the pick with Imjin River and North Shadow on the list of dangers. The selection proved very impressive at Southwell on his most recent start and having apparently taken some time to come to hand, this will be his last run of the campaign before taking the unkindest cut of all. Imjin River is another who attempts to transfer Southwell form to Kempton. The handicapper probably let him in lightly on that occasion. North Shadow failed to act on Southwell's surface but he had looked a likely sort at Nottingham after utilising the benefit of a substantial drop in trip. Excellent Thought appears not to have progressed and this six furlongs does not look ideal. Coolree Star has graduated out of plating grade though can be forgiven a below par run at Doncaster on a surface that probably did not suit. Mellifera will try to exploit a good draw with his residual early pace. Cape Kimberley could still be open to progression and we seek not to oppose him just yet.
