Verdict

Amical Risks, Verbatim and Auntie Mame are all for the shortlist and we are with Amical Risks. The BHA figures suggest that Willie Musson's ex French gelding has the upper hand in this sphere and with a lack of quality about this maiden, it could be worth sticking with the official handicapper. Verbatim has had plenty of chances and appears not to have a trip. That said, Andrew Balding has managed to pick up a few maidens of late. Auntie Mame has been prone to misbehaviour before the start so any bets may be worth holding on to until they go to post. Cyril The Squirrel has not been sighted in the past over shorter while Rollin 'n Tumblin will need all the powers of the in-form Kirty Milczarek in order to oblige. A race that would not need a show stopping performance to land it and Amical Risks looks to have fewest negatives against him at present.
