      Verdict

      The cut in the ground at Newcastle may have been against Harry Lime on his latest start but it was a poor effort all the same and the jury is out on him for now, while stablemate Neighbourhood has shown nothing so far. Gower Rules finally got off the mark when winning here a week ago but a 6lb penalty could put an end to his chances as last week's runner-up WATERED SILK can re-oppose on better terms. Marcus Tregoning's charge was having his first start since August on that occasion and looks capable of going one better here. Waterborne makes most appeal of the remainder.
