In depth

Verdict

SENECA CHIEF is making up for lost time this year having been off the track since his three-year-old days. He defied a penalty when winning easily at Chelmsford earlier in the week and the hat-trick beckons with scope for further progress over today’s longer trip. Bernie's Boy and Terri Rules were both well beaten by the selection last time but Deeds Not Words gets a change of headgear and may prove more of a threat. Mercers has won off a higher mark in the past but Maid Millie’s course and distance success came in lowly Class 7 company.
