Verdict
MASTER LIGHTFOOT makes plenty of appeal this afternoon and we expect him to fend off the challenges of Spinning Bailiwick and Resplendent Alpha. Walter Swinburn's colt was a little disappointing at Wolverhampton on his most recent start but if he can seize an uncontested lead - he could be very difficult to peg back. Spinning Bailiwick is very much on a roll at present having obliged on her last three starts. A 4lb rise for her latest success does not seem too harsh if she stays the six. Resplendent Alpha is an infrequent winner. He stayed on well last week to claim second but could not be considered to be an unlucky loser in any way. Premier Lad is watched on his first foray away from Southwell's fibresand. Perfect Act was well held over seven furlongs and drops back a furlong today. Leading Edge was apparently unfancied at Wolverhampton though proved his doubters wrong. He has a tougher task here. Musical Script is far better than his last run suggests and as a consequence, might represent some value against more well fancied opponents. Jeremy Gask had a couple entered in this race so it is interesting that he gives a chance to New Leyf. A fair performer on the turf, this is his first run on an artificial surface. Master Lightfoot is the recommendation in the finale.
