        Verdict

        Lily Edge is the only course-and-distance winner in the line-up though she's probably better over further these days. Hermosa Vaquera is a hurdler who has never been placed in six starts on the all-weather while Catharina, who won on Turf at Lingfield in the summer, looks to have gone backwards. Sund City has never won but at least arrives in reasonable form having finished runner-up over two miles here last week. Old-timer Stand Guard attempts his 27th all-weather victory on his comeback and is on his lowest mark since 2008 but, in a very poor contest, a chance is taken on LITTLE ORCHID, who showed a bit of potential over this trip in the summer and might be worth a small each-way wager. Graceful Lady may prove best of the remainder as she's found two miles stretching her stamina the last twice.
