Verdict

What Katie Did is selected ahead of Gross Prophet and Yamal. The selection is exposed in relation to others but knows her way around this track and with a fair draw this afternoon, she represents likely value at the odds. Gross Prophet has correctly been dropped 4lbs by the assessor after a below par effort. If the race is run to suit, he could be dangerous. Yamal overcame a slow start to pick up a Lingfield maiden. He looks better than the bare form but will not have the luxury of a breathing space here. Rehabilitation landed a Wolverhampton gamble earlier in the month. The presence of a 78-rated horse has set the handicapper a real puzzle. Bombardier Wells did not show too much in two turf maidens but could not be crabbed for a victory at Lingfield. Just Like A Woman ran in a fair handicap at Lingfield against unexposed sorts so is one to note in the market. Hunt The Bottle shaped with a degree of promise last season and would be a big factor if a back end stinker is ignored. This looks like a race that will throw up winners but we stick with proven form in What Katie Did.
