Verdict

PEARL MIX made a promising debut behind a John Gosden hotpot over 6f here a fortnight. Doing all his best work in the closing stages to claim the runners-up spot, he'll appreciate this extra furlong and can open his account. Quick Bite was placed at Lingfield last time and should improve again, while better is also expected of the Godolphin runner Storm Belt. Position should be noted on his debut, but Spirit Of The Law was purchased for 78,000gns in April and the half-brother to a winner in France could prove best of the newcomers.
