Verdict

Having won over C&D on his reappearance, O'CALLAGHAN STRAND couldn't follow up under a penalty against more experienced rivals at Wetherby next time. Jonjo O'Neill's five-year-old is worth another chance, however, as most of today's rivals have a bit to prove at present. Roger Curtis saddles recent Newton Abbot winner Kings Equity, who looks a better bet than stablemate Kaycee, while Adeus Ayrton could be interesting as he hinted at ability last year and will be all the better for his run at Wincanton last month.
