Verdict

Having fallen on his chasing debut over C&D, King's Legacy had few problems winning a three-runner race over a shorter trip here next time. But his penalty today will make life tougher as it means he has to give 7lb to LIBERATE. Winner of a valuable handicap hurdle at Haydock last month, Philip Hobbs' could develop into a decent staying chaser if taking to the larger obstacles and gets the vote here. Stage Acclaim has only found one too good here and at Market Rasen in his two races over fences so far and, along with easy Southwell winner Ambrose Princess, are also worthy of consideration in a decent novice event.
