    Verdict

Last month's Deauville winner Uphold is the only committed front-runner in the field, but he's finished behind stablemate LAYLINE since his win and could set the race up for him here. The latter scored in a higher-grade conditions race at Lingfield last time and Gay Kelleway's apparent first string is the one to beat if producing a similar effort. Nezhenka has improved for the step up to 2m and may struggle back over today's trip, while though Into Wain has been winning over hurdles, he may find things happening a bit quick for him here. Magic Millie arrives in fine form but is facing a really tough task on today's terms.
