In depth

Verdict

Sesame Rambler has gone up 8lbs for a Folkestone win last time and now drops back from 3m 3f to this trip, and preference is for POWER KING. The David Pipe-trained selection has gone up fully 7lbs himself for finishing runner-up over course and distance last time, which is not the best way to approach breaking your maiden tag, but there are reasons to believe he still can. A sound surface and this trip clearly suit, it is hard to believe that there won't be some improvement for that recent chasing debut, and the yard continues to hold its form well enough, so we will go with him. Jacarado has no weight on his back but still makes little appeal on this ground and with his strike rate, while Syncopated Rhythm may be able to show more from this mark than on his last two starts, now that his trainer is in better form. Sesame Rambler is consistent and should go well but he may have to give best to our pick Power King.
