      Verdict

In an open heat a chance is taken on ATEEB ahead of Cape Quarter, Beat Up, Harting Hill and Dream of Fortune. Ed Dunlop's showed promise as a juvenile but only made the track once last year, some 508 days ago, so he's evidently had his problems. It's interesting then that connections have chosen to keep this gelding in training and his last run suggests this rating of 65 is generous if the ability is still there; the market may guide us. Cape Quarter should be better than he's shown but patience is wearing thin and he's far from certain to stay especially if failing to settle, while Harting Hill knows his way around here but pays the price for his consistency with a lofty mark. Beat Up got off the mark at Wolverhampton and could go on from there while Dream of Fortune is 5lbs lower than his last handicap success which came over course and distance and arrives on the back of a confidence-boosting seller success.
