Carp Kid was still beaten a long way when runner-up here last time with the less exposed Golden Image only a length behind. Corazon Espinado drops in class and is preferred to Southwell runner-up Far Dawn but Normandy Blue could go well having ended last year with a placed effort at Pontefract. ROSE TINTED SPIRIT was third at Wolverhampton last time and steps up in trip for his handicap debut. Further progress is expected from Ralph Beckett’s colt with Haverland and Black Medusa others likely to improve now handicapping for the first time.
