In depth

Verdict

PEDASUS has plenty in his favour here and he can take this at the main expense of Negotiation and Perfect Affair. The selection looked a useful prospect on his debut at Lingfield when he chased home Musleh. He was flying at the finish that day and from a good draw he can get his head in front. Negotiation is another that has a good high draw and with John Gosden's stable in decent form he is certainly worth consideration on his racecourse bow, especially if the market speaks in his favour. Perfect Affair made a positive impression on his racecourse debut back in October at Salisbury. He was well beaten that day but he shaped as though he would be winning races in the future. He is a real strapping colt who looks as though he will be better over further in time, so this drop back to 7f is not sure to suit. Azharia shaped with promise on her debut and she should benefit from this slight step-up in trip. The Stuart Williams-trained Sadaska looks as though she will be better over further than this, although the yard are shrewd so a watching brief on the market is advised. Pedasus sets a decent standard though and should take all the beating.
