In depth

Verdict

STEEL FREE is given the vote over Aim To Achieve and Repetischa. The selection ran well on her debut at Newbury and she backed that up with another solid effort at Leicester when she finished third behind Zero Money. This step-up in trip should suit and from a good draw she can open her account. Aim To Achieve finished last on her debut but she showed she had trained-on at York earlier this month when she finished fourth behind Mutawarath. She is clearly going the right way but she is not well drawn for her all-weather debut and she may be best watched. Repetischa has the best of the draw and she lost no caste in defeat when third behind Saa'Ida at Goodwood over 1m2f last month. The drop back to a mile should suit and it would be no surprise to see her in the shake-up. Walter Swinburn does well with his runners here so his well drawn newcomer One Cool Dream is certainly worth a market check on her debut. However, Steel Free sets a decent standard and she is our pick.
