Verdict

Fairway Freddy is upped in class under a 7lb penalty having won easily at Wincanton last week. He’s still preferred to Monday Club, a runner-up at Huntingdon just two days ago in an amateurs’ race. Alan King runs two with Mick Maestro attempting to go one better than at Ludlow last time and Nylon Speed making his handicap debut having placed in novice company at Huntingdon but a chance is taken on the returning SAO. The latter ended last season with a second at Newton Abbot and Paul Nicholls’ grey also goes handicapping for the first time with Lorcan Williams taking 6lb off his back.
