Verdict

FATHER OF JAZZ has never won on Turf but made a promising start over timber at Huntingdon when travelling strongly for a long way. This relatively sharp track should play to his strengths and he is getting 8lb from hat-trick seekers Rare Edition, Rubaud and Throne Hall. Of that trio, the latter makes most appeal on his latest victory at Wetherby. Mamoon Star made a winning start over hurdles at Taunton but carries only 5lb extra and Awaythelad has placed at Uttoxeter and Ascot so can’t be ignored. Iberico Lord was thrown in at the deep end at Cheltenham so is obviously held in high regard.
