      Verdict

HAYWAIN improved for his third outing after a lay-off when only beaten a head by the consistent Bussa at Wolverhampton. Kevin Ryan's charge gets the tentative vote in this as he's less exposed than the other likely contenders. Sole Danser is usually thereabouts without quite being good enough while The Strig and Alnoomaas have both fallen prey to the in-form Picansort of late and look high enough in the weights now. Dickie Le Davoir can pop up at anytime, however, and Fortrose Academy has recorded both wins to date over course and distance and is another to consider.
