Verdict

Four-year-olds have a decent record in this and Mick Channon must have been delighted with THE BLUE BOMBER's run in a Listed race at Cheltenham last month, where he wasn't beaten far despite proving difficult to steer. If he can keep a straight course here, he may be good enough to make the most of the weight here receives from the older Drumcliff, a debut winner at Taunton in December, and Criq Rock. The latter was impressive at Ascot when last seen, though the form has sent out mixed messages. Templeross didn't beat much at Uttoxeter while Vaillant Nonantais has an absence to overcome and needs more. But the latter's stablemate Berce is an interesting newcomer and Quiz Master could be another nice long-term prospect for the Tizzards.
