Verdict

Crievehill hasn’t shown much in a couple of runs at Aintree this season and was behind Double Shuffle here back in February. Commanche Red was a winner at this meeting last year but is another struggling for form. Recent Newbury winner Cap Du Nord failed to last home when tried over 3m last season and course winner Erick Le Rouge is another who is better over shorter trips. ADRIEN DU PONT (NAP) won this in 2018 when 2lb higher. He is dropped in grade today and can get back to winning ways as he is conceding only 2lb to Royale Pagaille, who was the rank outsider when beating three rivals at Haydock, and only 4lb to Darlac, who took 10 attempts to get off the mark over fences. Manofthemountain looks in the handicapper’s grip while Soupy Soups is better giving weight to lesser rivals.
