Verdict
Height Of Spirits is given a narrow vote in a wide open contest, Sion Hill and Ponte Vecchio could be the main rivals. The selection was very slowly away at Goodwood last time out and never got in a blow. He is much better judged on previous form which included an excellent second to Postmaster over this trip at Lingfield. A repeat of that run could be good enough this afternoon. Sion Hill did manage a recent victory over the nine furlong trip at Wolverhampton. The trip last time was a little bit on the short side and he will go close here over today's distance of a mile. Ponte Vecchio has only had a couple of runs this season but has shaped with promise and has claims on the pick of last season's form. The best of the rest could be Fantastic Delight, but our idea of the winner is Height Of spirits.
