Verdict

MR OPTIMISTIC is showing good progress now the penny has finally dropped. He ran out an impressive winner at Wolverhampton last time beating Je Suis Unrockstar by three lengths and capable apprentice George Chaloner helps offset a 9lb rise in the weights. Richard Fahey's charge is preferred to Morermaloke who won a weak maiden at Lingfield last week but has gone well here before while Mandy's Hero is another recent maiden winner with scope for improvement. Johnny Hancocks has a bit to find with the selection and Welsh Inlet doesn't look good enough.
