Verdict
Silvanus may be the highest rated horse by some margin but he also carries a serious health warning so we'll take a chance with Green Velvet. The Makin horses have been running well this month and the horses are always worth a second look when Sanders rides. This filly is related to a winner for the yard and wouldn't need to be out of the ordinary to land this. Silvanus has twice been turned over at odds-on and although he has upwards of a stone in hand of the other runners with ratings he couldn't be put forwards with confidence at the likely prices. It's not easy to get excited about the remainder but Captain Kir ran well enough at Lingfield on debut to warrant consideration in a modest heat but we'll award the vote to Green Velvet.
