Verdict

Big Bang Rosie had been building towards winning a race over hurdles and once she faced good ground at Limerick she had few problems landing the odds. This is tougher but she's progressing nicely and will be difficult to beat. HOLDING PATTERN (NAP) got off the mark over timber in a huge field at Punchestown where she defied a last-flight error to beat the strongly-fancied Awayinthewest, who went one better in a handicap next time. Jessica Harrington's mare gets the nod though Osco Mosco won't be long in winning again as she progressed really well last season, culminating in a victory at Fairyhouse. Winning point-to-pointer and bumper Sunrise Lady has only had one run over hurdles and will need to show much more than she did at Clonmel in November.
