In depth
Verdict
Koshari has been chasing and hasn’t run over hurdles since the end of 2016. Never a factor in the Galway Plate 10 days ago, he may be in need of a confidence-booster. Count Simon has progressed since winning a novice hurdle at Downpatrick in June and shouldn’t be far away again - he’s preferred to stablemate Boot Camp. Jimmy Nash also runs two with Massini's Trap interesting under a 7lb claimer given he wasn’t disgraced on the Flat last month. WOODLAND OPERA was second in a similar race at Cork when making a rare appearance over hurdles last month. That confirmed he is still useful over the smaller obstacles, despite being better known as a chaser nowadays, and he can make the most of the weight he receives from Tipperary winner Jaime Sommers.
