In depth

Verdict

Beat Of The Sea has won twice around here and, though 4lb out of the handicap, has a 7lb claimer on board so shouldn't be dismissed. Due Reward has also scored here and only just failed to concede 7lb to An Fraoch Mor at Wexford while stable companion ANNEXATION finished a close second in a Navan Grade 3 in November. The latter ran quite well on the Flat last time after falling in a Grade B Handicap Hurdle at Killarney and Hugh Morgan's claim is a major plus. The veteran Goulane Chosen is up 12lb for an easy victory at Tramore though is still well in compared to his chase rating while Western Victory, runner-up in a Killarney Listed contest last month, ran well over fences last time.
