In depth

Verdict

Old Bill Barley won a bumper here in April and didn't look suited by testing conditions at Listowel last month. His stablemate Mary Meehan has shown little in three starts over timber but ITWASFATE fell when heavily supported for a Limerick maiden in May before just failing to concede Barbaha Queen 7lb at Clonmel and compensation awaits. Up And Out didn't show much in bumpers but it was a different matter on her debut over timber at Tramore where she was headed on the run-in after leading two out. Today's quicker ground and her allowance can see her in the frame. Astrophysicist was engaged in the 7.30 at Killarney last night.
