In depth

Verdict

KATTAYAM is by Declaration Of War out of a Group 2 winner and was bred by The Aga Khan. He made an eye-catching debut in a Cork bumper back in 2019 and has subsequently joined Willie Mullins. He can make a winning debut for the yard though Midnight It Is looks a worthy opponent. Gavin Cromwell's charge has run fine races in decent company at Punchestown and Cork and would be the obvious alternative if the selection doesn't come up to scratch. Ruleout has been beaten too far in his races to consider a likely threat but Skol ran well for a long way over hurdles at Leopardstown.
