In depth

Verdict

A much stronger beginners event than is usually the case here. All eyes will be on THE PAPARRAZI KID as he makes his chasing debut as Willie Mullins' charge produced a cracking performance to land a very tough Punchestown handicap over hurdles in April and has always had the look of a chaser about him. He'll need to be good to make a winning start against Stonemaster, who was a high-class hurdler and has gone well in a couple of strong handicaps over fences recently. Tom Horn has only had two runs over fences but has shown up well in both and he's progressing well enough to get involved along with Best Served Cold, though he had to be withdrawn from an intended target at Roscommon recently due to a bout of coughing. Western Man has been hurdling after falling at the first fence at Thurles in April but can make his presence felt if surviving the obstacles.
